Liberty General Insurance Berhad has unveiled its Digital Roadside Assistance (DRA) feature, a new addition designed to transform the handling of road emergencies and provide real-time status on towing and repairs of vehicles.
This app is designed to provide users with seamless, swift, and convenient support on the go. To reinforce Liberty’s commitment to being a trusted and reliable ally to Malaysian drivers, the DRA feature is available through three distinct One Touch applications for Liberty Insurance, Kurnia Insurans, and AmAssurance.
“As a customer-centric organisation, we understand the challenges drivers face, especially given Malaysia’s recent unpredictable weather and unforeseen circumstances. Our Digital Roadside Assistance feature embodies our dedication to enhancing customer confidence in post-emergency scenarios,” said Ronnie Chan, chief claims officer of Liberty.
He further added, “Our Digital Roadside Assistance is more than just providing emergency aid; it aims to empower Malaysians with the necessary tools and knowledge for effectively managing their safety and financial security with Liberty General Insurance Berhad. This feature is designed to give drivers greater control and preparedness in challenging situations.”
One core function of the DRA is to enable users to request roadside assistance easily with just a single tap on their smartphones. Real-time tracking allows users to monitor the progress of their help requests, offering reassurance in challenging road situations.
This new feature enhances the user experience by providing efficient post-emergency assistance. Seamlessly integrated into various individual digital platforms, the DRA offers practical functionalities for comprehensive accident management guidance and streamlined claims procedures.
Among these features is a fully digital end-to-end process that includes electronic notification of loss, assignment, and approval of workshops for necessary vehicle repairs. Users will be notified of completed repairs via text message.
For appraisals, Liberty’s DRA employs visual AI combined with human expertise, allowing for remote vehicle assessments through video. Additionally, customers will receive updates on their claims at every stage of the process, ensuring a transparent view of their entire claims journey.
Ronnie added that Liberty’s latest innovation aligns with its ethos of adaptability and responsiveness to the evolving needs of its customers. “Liberty is proud to be a leading force for digital innovation within the insurance sector, and we plan to continue setting new industry standards to give customers greater support and assurance when they need it the most.”
