HINO Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (HINO) has handed over a new fleet of refrigerated trucks to Quanterm Logistics Sdn Bhd.
The total 10 units comprise four-unit Hino 300 Series Pro XZC730 light-duty commercial vehicle (LCV), four-unit Hino 500 Series GH8JR1A medium-heavy duty commercial vehicle (MCV), and two-unit Hino 500 Series SG2PE1B prime movers.
The handover ceremony was held at Quanterm Logistics head office, attended by both companies’ top management.
Hino managing director Atsushi Uchiyama said, “As a truck provider, we need to fully understand customer’s business and needs. Transporting of fresh and frozen goods requires expertise especially in temperature control and Quanterm Logistics has set a high standard of traceability and requirements.
“With our tagline ‘Transporting Every Happiness’, we are particular on our truck to meet those needs and standard where we believe, it will contribute to our customers’ smooth operation, and on-time delivery will contribute to their customers’ satisfaction.”
Quanterm Logistics managing director John Tay Chong Yen said, “Hino is committed to providing our drivers comprehensive driving training, and its nationwide service network will give us convenient accessibilities for services maintenance and after-sales support.
“This is our first-time Quanterm Logistics partnering with Hino. We believe that with Hino’s unprecedented commitment to us, we would certainly further enhance our partnership with Hino in the future,” he said.
In another development HINO has undertaken an initiative to improve driving skills among commercial vehicle drivers through the establishment of its training center, Hino Total Support Customer Center (HTSCC) in Sendayan.
Quanterm Logistics has registered their fleet supervisors to sit the training. It has been noted that higher fuel efficiency can be achieved with enhanced driving skills.
Through the training, drivers will be given intensive courses that focus on driver safety, eco-cien driving, and driver familiarisation.
