FedEx Express, one of the world’s largest express transportation companies and a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), is making it easier for shippers to access its shipping solution, FedEx Ship Manager® Lite (FSML), and enhance their customer experience.
With FSML, shippers can now access the solution from the browser of their mobile phones and ship a package without having to print off documents. This solution was previously only available to FedEx customers who drop off their package at a FedEx World Service Center. However, it can now be accessed by FedEx account holders from the comfort of their homes.
In addition, the enhanced solution now enables guest shippers in select markets who do not have a FedEx account to fill out the shipping information on their mobile devices and generate a QR code instead of printing shipment paperwork. They can then order a pick-up at their home address or place of work and present their QR code to the FedEx courier. They also have the option to use the same process when dropping off their shipments at a FedEx World Service Center as before.
Salil Chari, senior vice president of Marketing and Customer Experience, AMEA at FedEx Express, stated, “FedEx continues to invest in digital solutions to make our customers’ lives easier. With this enhancement, anyone can enjoy all the door-to-door service benefits that our regular customers experience right at their fingertips.”
The enhanced FSML courier pick-up service is now available to FedEx account holders in Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and New Zealand. Additionally, guest shippers in select AMEA markets, including Singapore, Japan, Korea, and Malaysia, can now enjoy the pick-up service.
