Singapore has witnessed a significant growth in the number of SMEs despite the pandemic, with most businesses pivoting away from brick-and-mortar shops to online shopping and e-commerce, resulting in a huge demand for cost-efficient courier services.
This demand is partially filled by EasyParcel which helps businesses manage their fulfillments and simplify aspects of last-mile delivery solutions. The logistics firm provides transparency and cost-efficient solutions by allowing users to compare delivery rates across the region to get the best competitive booking prices.
Named as one of the fastest-growing start-ups in Malaysia by Frost & Sullivan, EasyParcel started out with the main goal of helping SMEs and individuals which eventually led to their expansion and growth into the bigger markets. As a strong advocate for digitalisation, EasyParcel was built to help traditional courier companies gather more business opportunities through the digital space while offering businesses one of the lowest delivery rates.
To date, EasyParcel has partnered with most courier companies in Singapore with over 15 courier partners. “One of our key focuses is to help gather more sales opportunities for our courier partners by bridging the gap with e-commerce merchants and managing them. We hope to secure more partnerships in 2022 for a more extensive logistics network,” said Clarence Leong, CEO of EasyParcel.
Paperless delivery system
Using EasyParcel’s proprietary paperless delivery system to reduce unnecessary costs, users will not be required to print the air waybills anymore. They only need to mark their packages with the necessary details which help to save time, cost and manpower, allowing them to focus on their daily operations.
To accelerate and simplify daily delivery routines, EasyParcel also provides SMS and email tracking, same-day domestic delivery, as well as an API key for savvier businesses. The API key allows business owners to integrate their online stores with EasyParcel’s platform for a more seamless and user-friendly experience in booking single or bulk deliveries.
As the first online courier booking platform to offer a wide selection of courier services for rate comparison, EasyParcel aims to pave the path of digitalisation for businesses through their user-friendly platform with unique marketing tools paired with integration/API features while providing complete transparency.
“Back in 2014, our business model was unlike anything seen before and many courier companies were reluctant to join us. We had a hard time convincing traditional courier companies to shift their businesses into the digital space. The next challenge then, was to educate the market. As most of them were not as tech-savvy and we had to give plenty of courses and training to guide them through the system and process.
“Our processes were also constantly re-worked based on the feedback from them and the front-end users, to ensure a seamless and user-friendly experience for all,” said Leong.
EasyParcel currently serves more than 1,000,000 SMEs in South-East Asia and has delivered more than 50,000,000 parcels to date.
